Porcelain Table Lamp

Loading...

This porcelain table lamp was hand built from the finest English porcelain. Excerpts from Andrew Marvell’s Poem “To His Coy Mistress” were stamped letter by letter into its surface and there’s an opening on the base to enable sitting the porcelain body on any flat base with an appropriate sized bulb holder. After slow-drying for a few weeks to prevent the thin porcelain from cracking, it was bisque-fired, then it was glazed with a studio-made clear gloss and glaze fired to 1240 degrees Celsius. Then the 22k gold luster accents were painted on and it was luster fired to 740 degrees. I hope you agree that the many many hours of work that went into creating this beautiful piece were absolutely worth it! A 220v base with a two pronged plug is included. If you live in the States or another country that uses different voltage, please check with an electrician if you can use an adaptor or need a different base. Basic bases are available online, please ensure the light bulb holder on the base is under 5cm wide.
