Sgraffito Fish Platter 1

This Sgraffito Fish Platter was hand made from stoneware. I painted the fish onto the platter in underglazes and then carved the details. After the bisque firing, I painted a black underglaze wash over the fish and sponged it back, to create the black outline.

The fish has been coated with a clear glaze to make it food-safe and the surrounding area is glazed in a combination of a few, glossy glazes.

The platter can be used for serving hot or cold food or could be displayed decoratively. Dishwasher safe
