Star Of David Havdalah Set

This Star of David Havdalah Set was hand built from porcelain. I poured my soul into crafting this intricate, one-of-a-kind set over a number of days. I love to think of it as a family heirloom, passing down through the generations!

At the start of this terrible time, it was important to me as an artist to visually express my love for our Homeland and for our People. I thought of this motif of interconnected Stars of David, as a way to symbolize our interconnectivity, our perseverance and our strength. I carved the pattern into a piece of linoleum and then used it to make the raised pattern in porcelain and stoneware clay. I created a collection of pieces using this raised texture, including this stoneware mug.

The collection includes 2 mugs, an assortment of stoneware trays, a serving plate and bowl, a large Channukah Menorah, a Modular Passover Plate and a porcelain platter. All of the pieces are dishwasher safe but I do recommend hand washing hand-made ceramics.
