Star Of David Nebula Tray

My Star of David trays were hand built from high fire stoneware. The price is per tray, there are 2 available. They could be used for serving food like pickles or olives, as a trinket dish, a saucer (with room for cookies) for the similar mug, as a tealight tray for guests or even as a spacious soap plate.

At the start of this terrible time, it was important to me as an artist to visually express my love for our Homeland and for our People. I thought of this motif of interconnected Stars of David, as a way to symbolize our interconnectivity, our perseverance and our strength. I carved the pattern into a piece of linoleum and then used it to make the raised pattern in porcelain and stoneware clay. I created a collection of pieces using this raised texture, including this tray.

The collection includes 2 mugs, an assortment of other stoneware trays, a few serving bowls, a large Channukah Menorah, a Havdallah Set, a Modular Passover Plate and a large, porcelain serving platter. All of the pieces are dishwasher safe but I do recommend hand washing hand-made ceramics.
