Aurora Mug (Second)

My Aurora Mug was hand made from porcelain. Its unique and irreplicable surface was created by brushing on 18 layers of 8 different glazes. The interior has the same glaze combination most of the way down the walls, and a dark, purply/blue glossy base. It’s an incredibly lengthy costly process, but I hope you agree that the results are worth the investment! It’s hard to see in the images, but there are glittery gold flecks in the darker areas towards the bottom of the mug.

This mug’s glaze ran quite a lot and during the process of sanding the base, I slightly scuffed a part towards the bottom of the mug and there’s a very small depression on its base. It also has a few little bumps on the inside base caused by uneven porcelain slip. They’re properly covered with glaze and don’t affect its function. I’ve knocked $10 off the price to reflect these slight imperfections. Dishwasher and microwave safe, but I always recommend hand washing hand-made ceramics.
