Crystalline Jewel Chanukkah Menorah

My Crystalline Jewel Chanukkah Menorah was hand made from porcelain. The texture was achieved by pressing the wet porcelain into a lino cut I created. It boasts a stunning crystalline glaze that I made in the studio. Crystalline glazes are at the cutting edge of ceramics, the glazes have to be measured very precisely and the work has to be fired to 1300 degrees celsius over 18 hours to enable the 2D silicate crystals to grow.
