Fish Mug

My Fish Mug was hand made from porcelain. It features a unique glaze finish, created by brushing a few coats of a base glaze and then painting the school of fish and the quote ‘Just Keep Swimming’ onto the dry base glaze with a liquid latex resist. After that, I sponged a few layers of the turquoise glaze over the entire piece and once it dried, I carefully peeled off all of the many pieces of latex (I’ll admit I was second guessing myself during this lengthy process, but decided it was totally worth it when I took it out of the glaze firing!). Dishwasher and microwave safe but I always recommend hand washing hand-made ceramics.
