Israel Handmade Pendant Necklace with Swarovski Crystal

This cobalt crystalline Israel pendant necklace with a Swarovski crystal was hand made from porcelain in my studio in central Israel. It has a 24k gold Star of David (Magen David) at its centre and is finished in a crystalline glaze that I make in my studio. It was fired 3 times, first to 1000 degrees Celsius, then glaze fired for 18 hours to 1300 degrees Celsius. After hand painting the 24k gold contour and Magen David, I fired it again to 840 degrees, to seal on the gold. The formation of the 2 dimensional, silicate crystals is unique and irreplicable. After the pendant was completed, I attached it to a gold fill chain, with gold fill fittings and I attached the single Swaovski Crystal to it. To preserve the gold and the luminosity of the crystalline glaze, it is not advised to bathe while wearing it.
