Moth Sgraffito Kiddush Cup/Tumbler

This sgraffito kiddush cup was wheel thrown from high-fire stoneware. The design was created by painting 3 layers of underglaze on the unfired piece and then carefully carving through the underglaze to reveal the natural clay beneath it. The inside has a high glitter glaze over the black underglaze and the outside of the piece has a glossy, clear glaze covering it.  It could be used to enjoy any hot or cold beverage, as a unique kiddush cup, as a whiskey tumbler, and as a striking display piece. An 8.9cm saucer with a high glitter glaze is included. Dishwasher safe.
