Nerikome Shot Glass Set

My Nerikome Shot Glass Set was hand made from coloured porcelain. Nerikome is a labor intensive technique whereby you combine different coloured porcelain into slabs and cut and remake the slabs until you’ve created patterns that please you. You then have to carefully compress the slabs and hand build the pieces. After the first firing, sanding is necessary to clean the surfaces from smudging and marks left from slip to reveal all the patterns, and once they’re washed and dried, they are clear glazed and fired again. It’s a lengthy process but I hope you’ll agree that the one of a kind results are worth the effort!

These would look beautiful displayed and to enhance a festive gathering or meal. Dishwasher safe but hand washing is recommended for hand-made ceramics.
